The niaiá is one of the six orthodox doctrines darshana or (astika) Hindus.

nyāya, in Sanskrit IAST transliteration system.

Pronunciation: niaia.

Etymology: derived from the Sanskrit root Ni, meaning ‘lead’. The compound word ni-āia means re-incursion, rule, method and is often translated as syllogism and inference; by extension it applies to reason, logic or method leading to the human spirit in certain actions, particularly in the argument and dissent.
